Warmest congratulations to SCOOP Fellow Sabine Otten, who has been honoured with the Outstanding Service to the Field of Social Psychology Award by the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP), one of the leading international organisations in the field.
The award recognises outstanding service to Social Psychology in Europe. Over her career, Prof. dr. Otten has dedicated herself to her field: she has supervised thirty young scientists, organised six scientific conferences, led workshops and summer schools, served on editorial boards, and is committed to diversity, inclusion and social safety.
Those who nominated Prof. dr. Otten noted that, “Sabine never sought personal glory but prioritized the greater good, often without holding an official position. In short, she genuinely served the field of social psychology and exemplifies the person this award was created for.”
