SCOOP researchers Liesbet Heyse and Nina Hansen featured in media for their RuimBaan toolbox

SCOOP researchers Liesbet Heyse and Nina Hansen have been featured in Dutch and Frisian media for their RuimBaan toolbox: a training toolkit that helps refugees find suitable and meaningful work in the Netherlands.

RuimBaan (which means “making way for refugees”) is a set of tools and training courses developed to help employers recruit more diversely. It is designed to assist refugees who want to integrate in the Netherlands but need help finding their way, by educating municipal professionals - who assist in making job matches - on cultural differences, alternative recruitment strategies, appropriate workplace language, and successful onboarding.

This project has recently been featured in Groningen news service RTV Noord

You can see Nina Hansen’s interview with Frisian news service Omrop Fryslân as well as a newspaper article here (in Frisian).
