Warmest congratulations to Dr Maikel Meijeren, SCOOP’s newest PhD graduate!
Maikel has successfully defended his dissertation, “Helping those in need: volunteering for humanitarian organizations and for refugees,” which sheds light firstly on who is volunteering for humanitarian organizations in the Netherlands, and secondly, what motivates individuals to start and (dis)continue their volunteering. Maikel has recently begun working as a postdoctoral researcher at Erasmus University.
