SCOOP researchers Claudia Hacke and Jojanneke van der Toorn will be presenting at the upcoming Future of Work conference on March 12, 2026, with the theme 'Myths about work' (in Dutch).
Claudia's presentation will be nuancing and challenging the historical idea that women didn't work in the past by demonstrating how a combination of incomplete and incorrect data, definitions of work, and institutional constraints have led to this misperception.
Jojanneke will be presenting on how in the Dutch marketplace, employees are rarely unequivocally for or against DEI policies, and how although identity-conscious approaches are linked to safer and more inclusive workplaces, it also receives the most resistance.
